GoldFynch lets you tag documents with multiple tags at the same time using the 'Apply multiple tags' checkbox present in the 'Apply tag' overlay that can be accessed from many different screens in GoldFynch including:

  • 'Files' view
  • 'Search' view
  • The Document viewer ('Docs' view)
  • 'Issues' view

Here's how to do so through the 'Files' view.

Tag your documents with multiple tags

1. Select files to be tagged by checking the checkboxes next to the names of one or more files in the 'Files' view (Note: the process is similar in the 'Search' view.)

2. Click on the 'Tag' button that appears in the right action pane that opens

Select the files to be tagged and click on the Tag button

3. Check the 'Apply multiple tags' checkbox on the 'Apply Tag' overlay that appears

Check the apply multiple tag checkbox

4. Select the tags to be applied from the 'Apply Tag' screen. Since 'Apply multiple tags' is enabled, the tags will be listed (in the 'Tags to apply' section) instead of immediately applying just the first tag that you click on.

  • The tags you select can be from the 'Quick Tags', 'Recently Used', 'Most Used' tag lists. Alternatively, type in the search bar to pull up a list of any tags that match the entered text, then click on one of the tag search results
  • If you would like to create a new tag, type out a name in the search bar, then click on the tag with 'New' next to it in the tag list
  • Click on the 'x' of a tag or the name of a Quick tag listed in the 'Tags to apply' section to remove it from the list of tags that will be applied

5. Click on 'Apply'

6. Choose how you would like to apply each tag to file families. You can choose to apply a tag to the item alone or to the entire family of each item.

7. Click on 'Apply' to apply the tags to the selected files (and their families where relevant), and close the 'Apply tag' screen.Choose how to apply tags to file families and click on Apply

Note:

  • 'Apply multiple tags' is a feature of the 'Apply tag' screen, which is used to tag files on many other GoldFynch pages as well
  • You can choose different family tagging options for each tag that is being applied
  • In case any of the tags require tag application notes, you will be prompted to enter them before selecting how the tag is applied to file families
