These are the steps to be followed when you or your client need to upload files to GoldFynch using an FTP server.
Note: Before following the steps in this article, make sure you have requested the FTP Add-on service in GoldFynch and received the FTP credentials.
Step 1. You will need to use an FTP client like FileZilla. If you don't have one, download and install FileZilla for free. Click here for the Windows download or here for the Mac download.
Step 2. Enter the credentials that the GoldFynch team shares with you exactly as provided into the Quickconnect bar at the top of the screen and click on the "Quickconnect" button. If a warning message appears, click on "OK."
Step 3. Drag-and-drop the files and folders to be uploaded into the "Queued files" section at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. Select all the files, right-click on them, and click on "Process Queue." The files should begin uploading, and a process bar will show up. Make sure your system stays powered on during the upload!
Step 5. Let the GoldFynch team know when the upload is complete.
Once you have completed this, the GoldFynch team will take over, and will notify you when the files are made available in your GoldFynch case. You can also check the status of the import process at any time by following the steps described here.
NOTE: The FTP server will stay online for 1 week. After this period expires a new server would have to be provisioned.
You can find out more about GoldFynch's other add-on services here.
